Flux is a modern version of the legend of Saint George inspired by the fantasy of Studio Ghibly stories, with a pinch of steampunk and gothic style. The book is about ecologism, and it speaks about our society in a critical way. The book has folds like a pop-up and for the most part there is no text.
I'm looking for a publishing house interested in this project. I hope it can be found in bookstores very soon.
This illustration shows a part of the journey of Jordi (St. George) trying to find the princess, crossing the woods in the middle of the night with the wolf as a guide. This illustration reminds us of the classic tale little red riding hood, but the figure of the wolf is different here. Although he represents the death and the enemy, he's also a friend and a guide.
This illustration represents our society with its powers leading a creepy parade: politicians, kings, religious leaders, massmedia, army, justice, education... and at the end all the population following it with no will. They have the princess captive (the nature). The hero, Jordi (ST. George), is riding his skateboard in the opposite direction. I wanted the illustrations to remind us of the classic tale "The Emperor's New Clothes".

Saint George and the Dragon.
The Princess rides a Ryu, a japanese dragon who rules water and storms. Then nature will grow up again and the world will heal.
The monsters of the forest who represent nature and magic help the hero to save the princess.
Some examples where you can see how illustrations change when you fold the pages.
